SEMPRE MORENTI

Voice and movement · 40 minutes · Adult audiences

Un giovane uomo sdraiato sul pavimento, che tiene in mano un microfono, sembra essere impegnato in un'attività di canto o di performance.

Interweaving voice and movement, Sempre Morenti reflects on death (spiritual, physical, symbolic) in the queer experience.

The work grows from an open libretto built on texts by Pier Paolo Pasolini and Franco Fortini, reread through the performer's gaze. With vocal techniques and an essential movement score, Tommaso Petrolo builds a field of tension in which gesture and voice coexist as forms of resistance and exposure.

In a context that marginalises and silences queer lives, Sempre Morenti becomes a manifesto: memory and vulnerability turn into acts of resistance, and the body becomes once again a space for thought and dissent.
